Since its opening in 2011, the Lewisville Grand Theater has served as Southern Denton County's home for the visual and performing arts as well as a sought-after location for hosting a variety of educational, corporate, and social events. The following are metrics of building utilization in the calendar year of 2025.
Public Art is art that is visually or physically accessible to the public and that is acquired by or donated to the City of Lewisville. It can take forms such as sculpture, integrated design in functional pieces and facilities, murals and temporary or permanent exhibitions. It enhances design and creates connections expressing shared values and ideas about Lewisville and its unique qualities as a community.
Privately owned artwork may also contribute to the public art landscape when it is publicly accessible or visible, as is often the case with murals.
The City of Lewisville started a formal Public Art Program in 2017, but began acquiring pieces of a Public Art Collection in 2003. The collection includes outdoor and indoor pieces in various artistic media. Pieces are added to the Lewisville Public Art Collection through purchase, commission, or donation.

Public Art projects often take many months, sometimes more than a year to complete, from the artist call through fabrication and installation. This chart shows in-progress projects.
Since the early 1990s, the City of Lewisville has awarded grants to Arts Organizations to support and encourage artistic programming within Lewisville.

Texas State Law allows up to 15% of a municipality's collected Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) revenue to be used for supporting the arts as a means of tourism. The City of Lewisville's art grant program includes three types of grants:
Art Support Grants for long-time, established arts groups,
Project Grants for visiting groups, one-time projects, or new groups, and,
Artist Microgrants for individual artists to use on small projects, performances or exhibitions.
